วันที่ 17 – 18 กุมภาพันธ์ที่ผ่านมา ชาวอำเภอเวียงเก่าได้ร่วมใจกันจัดงานบุญประเพณี บุญกุ้มข้าวใหญ่ประจำปี ซึ่งได้รับความร่วมมือจากหน่วยงานราชการและประชาชนในพื้นที่เป็นอย่างมาก เหมือนในช่วงเช้าได้มีการรำบวงสรวงปู่จอมนรินทร์สงคราม บริเวณปากช่อง ประตูสู่อำเภอเวียงเก่า โดยในการนี้ได้มีนายอำเภอทั้ง 3 อำเภอ คือ อำเภอเวียงเก่า อำเภอภูเวียง และอำเภอหนองนาคำ ร่วมเป็นประธานในพิธี
ตลอด 2 วัน ทางอุทยานธรณีขอนแก่นได้ร่วมบุญด้วยการจัดหาหนังกลางแปลงมาฉายให้ประชาชนที่มาร่วมงานได้รับชมกันตลอด 2 คืน รวมถึงส่งตัวแทนเข้าเก็บภาพกิจกรรม ในบุญประเพณีครั้งนี้ด้วย
On 17–18 February, the people of Khon Kaen Geopark jointly organized the annual Bun Kum Khao Yai traditional merit-making festival, with strong support from government agencies and local residents. In the morning, a ceremonial dance offering was performed in honor of General Narin Songkram at Chom Narin Shrine, the gateway to Wiang Kao District, with the district chiefs of Wiang Kao, Phu Wiang, and Nong Na Kham presiding over the ceremony.
Over the two-day event, Khon Kaen Geopark contributed by arranging open-air movie screenings for the public on both nights and sending representatives to document the activities.
