วันที่ 5 เม.ย.67 นายก อบจ.ขอนแก่น ดร.พงษ์ศักดิ์ ตั้งวานิชกพงษ์ มอบหมายให้รองนายก อบจ.ขอนแก่น นายธาดา พรหมสาขา ณ สกลนคร เป็นประธานในพิธีมอบอุปกรณ์วิทยาศาสตร์ ด้านดาราศาสตร์ (กล้องโทรทรรศน์) ให้กับโรงเรียนเครือข่ายอุทยานธรณีขอนแก่น ในเขต อ.เวียงเก่า และ อ.ภูเวียง รวม 11 โรงเรียน เพื่อส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้และการท่องเที่ยวเชิงดาราศาสตร์ในพื้นที่อุทยานธรณีขอนแก่น
โดยมีนายสิทธิพร เดือนตะคุ ผอ.หอดูดาวฯ ขอนแก่น สังกัดสถาบันวิจัยดาราศาสตร์แห่งชาติ (NARIT) เป็นวิทยากรให้ความรู้เรื่องอุทยานทองฟ้ามืดและการจัดกิจกรรมดาราศาสตร์ทั้งนี้ได้รับเกียรติจากผู้แทนหน่วยงานและภาคส่วนที่เกี่ยวข้อง ได้แก่ สพม.ขอนแก่น , อำเภอภูเวียง , อำเภอเวียงเก่า , อุทยานแห่งชาติภูเวียง และพิพิธภัณฑ์ไดโนเสาร์ภูเวียง ร่วมเป็นสักขีพยานในพิธี
On April 5th, 2024, Mr. Pongsak Tangvanichakapong, KKPAO Chief Executive & KKGP Director, delegated Mr. Tada Promsakha Na Sakolnakorn, KKPAO Executive as chairman of the ceremony to distribute scientific equipment (telescopes) to schools within the Khon Kaen Geopark area, including Wiang Kao and Phu Wiang districts, totaling 11 schools. This initiative aims to promote learning and astronomical tourism in Khon Kaen Geopark.
Mr. Sitthiphon Duentaku, the director of Khon Kaen Regional Observatory under the National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (NARIT), served as a lecturer to provide knowledge about dark sky reserves and astronomical activities.
Representatives from organizations and relevant sectors, including Khon Kaen’s Secondary Educational Service Area, Phu Wiang District Office, Wiang Kao District Office, Phu Wiang National Park, and Phu Wiang Dinosaur Museum participated as honorable guests in the ceremony.
