เมื่อวันที่ 21 มกราคม 2568 เวลา 10.00 น. นายวัฒนา ช่างเหลา นายก อบจ.ขอนแก่น ในฐานะผู้อำนวยการอุทยานธรณีขอนแก่น ให้การต้อนรับและร่วมประชุมหารือและวางแนวทางการขับเคลื่อนอุทยานธรณีขอนแก่น สู่อุทยานธรณีโลกของ UNESCO กับคณะกรมทรัพยากรธรณี นำโดยนายพิชิต สมบัติมาก อธิบดีกรมทรัพยากรธรณี พร้อมด้วย นายพงษ์พันธุ์ คงเดชอดิศักดิ์ ที่ปรึกษาอธิบดีกรมทรัพยากรธรณี, นางสาวอรอุมา สุมมาตย์ ผอ.สำนักงานทรัพยากรธรณี เขต 2 ขอนแก่น
ในการนี้นายภาสกรณ์ กัณฑาทรัพย์ ผอ.ศูนย์ศึกษาวิจัยและพิพิธภัณฑ์ไดโนเสาร์ และ นายสุธรรม วงษ์จันทร์ หัวหน้าอุทยานแห่งชาติภูเวียง ในฐานะรองผู้อำนวยการอุทยานธรณีขอนแก่น , นางสุภาพร ภูเงิน ผอ.กองการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา และนางสาวผกาสวรรค์ ปรัชญคุปต์ ผู้จัดการอุทยานธรณีขอนแก่น เข้าร่วมประชุม ณ ห้องประชุมองค์การบริหารส่วนจังหวัดขอนแก่น ชั้น 2 อ.เมืองขอนแก่น จ.ขอนแก่น
On January 21, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., Mr. Watthana Changlao, Chief Executive of the Khon Kaen Provincial Administrative Organization (KKPAO) and Director of Khon Kaen Geopark, welcomed and participated in a meeting to discuss and set the direction for advancing Khon Kaen Geopark toward UNESCO Global Geopark status. The meeting was held with the Department of Mineral Resources delegation, led by Mr. Phichit Sombatmak, Director-General of the Department of Mineral Resources, along with Mr. Phongphan Khongdetadisak, Advisor to the Director-General, and Ms. Onuma Sumat, Director of the Regional Office of Mineral Resources Zone 2, Khon Kaen.
Also in attendance were Mr. Passkorn Kunthasap, Director of the Phu Wiang Dinosaur Museum, and Mr. Sutham Wongchun, Chief of Phu Wiang National Park and Deputy Director of Khon Kaen Geopark. Additionally, Mrs. Supaporn Phungern, Director of the KKPAO Tourism and Sports Division, and Ms. Phakasawan Pratchayakup, Manager of Khon Kaen Geopark, participated in the meeting held in the conference room on the 2nd floor of the Khon Kaen Provincial Administrative Organization building in Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province.
