วันที่ 8 มิถุนายน 2567 ทีมนักธรณีวิทยาจากอุทยานธรณีขอนแก่น ได้ออกสำรวจแหล่งธรณีวิทยาในพื้นที่อำเภอภูเวียง เพื่อทำข้อมูลแหล่งเพิ่มเติม และได้เข้าไปสำรวจกองตะกรันจำนวนมากริมเขื่อนอุบลรัตน์ซึ่งเป็นร่องรอยของการถลุงแร่เหล็กโบราณในพื้นที่

Yesterday, a team of geologists from Khon Kaen Geopark conducted a survey of geological sites in the Phu Wiang district to gather additional information on the area. They investigated a large slag heap near the Ubolratana Dam, which is evidence of ancient iron smelting in the region.
We would like to extend our gratitude to Dr. Pradit Nulay from the Regional Office of Mineral Resources 2 for joining the survey and providing guidance to the Khon Kaen Geopark team!
